The Planning Board meets at the Old Town Hall, located at 3 Silverbrook Road, Sandisfield, MA 01255

MISSION STATEMENT

The Plnning Board mission is to promote the health, safety, convenience and general welfare of the population of the Town of Sandisfield, to protect and conserve the rural and recreational value of property, to encourage the most appropriate use of land throughout the Town, and to promote the efficiency and economy in the process of development.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan for the future growth, development and preservation of Sandisfield's physical resources.

2. Develop and implement land use regulations documented in zoning bylaws or ordinance, and the control regulations through the issuance of permits/approvals.

3. Ensure the enforcement of rules and regulations governing the subdivision of land in Sandisfield.

4. Review all applications for Special Permits and submit a finding either in favor or against the application to the Special Permit Granting Authority.

5. Initiate and facilitate the process of creating a Master Plan for Sandisfield.
